9. Viewing the SURFNET surfaces

The surfaces computed by SURFNET can be viewed on a number of different molecular graphics packages, and the instructions for displaying the maps in each program are given below. (Note that the commands may differ slightly from one version of these software packages to the next).

The surfaces can also be viewed in Rasmol, rendered in 3D by Raster3d, or plotted out as a PostScript file. For all these types of output, you must run the SURFACE and SURFPLOT programs after running SURFNET, with the appropriate options set in the parameter file surfnet.par (see SURFPLOT options).
