MGCF workstations in the MGCF

You can check CPU and RAM on any individual workstation with:
lscpu | grep -E '^CPU\(s\):'
lsmem | grep Total

barney: CPU 32, RAM 128GB
slate: CPU 24, RAM 128GB
stone: CPU 24, RAM 128GB
betty: CPU 24, RAM 128GB
bronto: CPU 24, RAM 128GB
bambam: CPU 24, RAM 128GB

Use the command topw to see the top CPU consuming processes on each workstation, so you can see which are heavily loaded. Please remember that these machines are multiuser. If you submit a job to run in the background, use no more that 75% of the CPU and MemTotal.

You can check the GPU on any individual workstation with:
nvidia-smi | grep NVIDIA
or with our in-house command:
gpustat

Use the command gpuw to see which GPU cards are in use. Please remember that these machines are multiuser. Most GPU jobs should be sent to Panther. Ask us for help if you dont know how to do this. Only submit short test jobs to a workstation GPU, and only if it is available.
